NCCU Board of Trustees

Brother Dwight D. Perry

was on the Fall 1973 line (“Six Sons of Satan”) and he graduated summa cum laude from NCCU with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1976, he was elected chairman of the Board of Trustees for a one-year term.  An ophthalmologist in Durham, Brother Perry earned his MD from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1980.  He has been a member of the Board since 2007.  Brother Perry was inducted into the National Black College Hall of Fame in 2006, and is a recipient of the National Association for Equal Opportunity in Higher Education Distinguished Alumni Award.  Additionally, in 2005, he was the Citizen of the Year for Beta Phi Chapter in Durham, and in 2006, he was named the Sixth District Citizen of the Year.

Brother John A. Barbee

is the second Tau Psi NCCU Board of Trustees member.  Though the newest of the Tau Psi triumvirate, Brother Barbee is the most senior Omega Man on the Board, having been initiated in Spring 1971.  He earned his Bachelor of Science in Commerce degree in 1973.  A standout undergraduate student-athlete, in 2006 he was inducted into the NCCU Alex M. Rivera Athletic Hall of Fame for meritorious service.  He recently completed his tenure as the President of the NCCU Eagle Club, which is the University’s major athletic booster organization.  He is also the immediate-past president of the Greensboro Chapter of the NCCU Alumni Association.  Brother Barbee is Senior Vice President of Consumer Products for Banner Pharmacaps, a leading global gelatin-based drug delivery and specialty pharmaceutical company headquartered in High Point, North Carolina.   

Brother Harold T. Epps

is the third NCCU Board of Trustees member.  Brother Epps was on the Tau Psi Spring 1972 line, one of the stalwarts of “The Ninth Judgment,” and is a Life Member of the Fraternity.  He graduated from NCCU in 1974 with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce degree, and he later earned the MBA at Western New England College in 1983.  Brother Epps is President and Chief Executive Officer of PRWT Services, Inc., a high performance provider of business process solutions and facilities management/infrastructure support services to government and commercial markets.  Brother Epps serves as Director of the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, the Urban Affairs Coalition, Urban League of Philadelphia, and Philadelphia Media Network Inc.  He is also Vice Chairman of the African American Museum in Philadelphia, Co-Chair of Comcast National African American Advisory Council, and a Mentor for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southeastern Pennsylvania.
